Getting Started Guide: Setting Up Your Photography Studio
Learn how to configure your profile, upload event galleries, set up client proofing rules, and deliver your first project with EventBit.
Welcome to EventBit! We built this platform to simplify client deliveries, speed up selection workflows, and save you hours of manual culling. Follow this quick guide to set up your studio and share your first gallery.
Step 1: Set Up Your Studio Profile
Before sharing galleries with clients, personalize your profile. Go to the dashboard settings to configure your studio name, contact info, and preferred currency (USD, EUR, GBP, INR, etc.). You can also define your unique photographer username (e.g. eventbit.io/photographers/username), which serves as your public portfolio page.
Step 2: Create Your First Event
In your dashboard, click Create Event. Enter the event name, date, and client details. Drag and drop your high-resolution JPEG images. EventBit automatically pre-optimizes images directly in your browser before uploading, reducing bandwidth usage and keeping uploads fast.
Step 3: Setup Client Selections (Proofing)
Inside the event settings, define how many images the client can select as favorites. You can specify client culling rules, comment permissions, and download settings (e.g. allow web-sized downloads for proofing, but restrict high-res originals until payment is complete).
Step 4: Publish & Share
Once your photos finish uploading, click Publish. Copy the secure link or QR code and share it with your client. They can immediately browse, heart favorites, comment, or search themselves using AI Face Recognition.
